Re: Dante & Zee - Patio
Zee hadn't intended to stay. At least, not for the long haul. Her intentions had been simple: find Hugh, ask 'WTF,' and enjoy his company again. But she'd not applied an end date to those intentions and the last part of it (enjoy his company) was binding her to the spot. She'd not wanted to let it go yet but with each passing week, her own internal need to leap off to the next destination continued to grow stronger. The party had been an offering when she'd brought this up to the man and she'd figured maybe getting to know people outside of his extravagant mansion would throw water on her natural impulses.
She'd not expected memories of others, and revelations of the supernatural, to actually be the giant fire hose that would put out any embers of leaving anytime soon. Who could have expected that, after all?
And thus, the party had taken on something of another meaning now.
Zee was going to stay. She was going to stay, she was going to set down roots, and this meant...well, she needed to meet folks.
And thus far, it had seemed to be going alright? She hoped so at least. But she was always one more content outside and so she'd migrated for the patio after the party had been well in session. She held a whiskey sour between her hands and her head turned when she sensed someone coming up beside her. A welcoming smile was summoned quickly, but she held off from replying, a flash of amusement in her eyes when the other woman held up her finger for pause. Instead, there was a nod of confirmation of who she was and a shift so she was leaning her side against the patio ledge instead of both her arms.
She gave a smirk, "I do love the flattery. And the hat. Very cute." This was said with complete earnest. "Now is it that new faces are hard to come by or has Hugh given out clues?" She simply presumed most at the party were friends of his, even if the invitations had gone out to all his neighbors and it was possible some weren't exactly on the level of friend.
