Re: In-person: Damian/Burden
It had ceased to be of immediate import to Damian, what precisely they were doing at this location. It ceased to be of immediate import what part in this puzzle Burden might play. With a strange, and personal, concern, the likes of which he did not wholly recognize in himself, he was attuned to the boy beside him. The boy who admitted he was not doing altogether well. Damian still did not understand Burden's affliction, but the boy had warned him, that if he felt such impending, he would leave. Too, it seemed an entirely negative experience for Burden, and for reasons that ought not have rooted so deeply, Damian did not desire the boy to suffer so.
He turned away from the structure. Was he drawn to it? He hardly allowed his gaze to graze the exterior. He did feel it, at his back, but he paid such no mind. Or, rather, he would not have, had the boy Burden not asked him of it. However, Damian felt Burden was becoming colorless as blood drained from beneath pale skin. "Let us sit?" He offered. He might have sought to trespass upon the abandoned structure, but he had the distinct sensation that Burden was not going to feel better within. Turning away from the house and its spindling dock, he attempted to guide Burden toward the shore, where they might recline. Inanely, simply agreeing with himself, he stated: "Perhaps it is better to sit."
