Re: In-person: Damian/Burden
Damian, he frowned more, and Burden just ducked his head some and smiled to himself. He wasn't even sure why he thought the glaring was entertaining some, but he certainly did think it. Could be he was going mad, and he'd sure been feeling that for some weeks now. Tonight's revelations, they hadn't done a thing to make him feel real sane. But he walked slow as Damian glared, and he lifted his shoulders about Damian's sister. He didn't know her. He had no notion if she'd do something deceptive for reasons he couldn't cotton. He would've asked, but Damian stole the cigarette then. "You're real welcome," he said, all drawl, but he didn't try to grab the thing back. He just laughed again. He considered where they were walking to, but he didn't say a thing about it yet. Mostly, he just listened for any aching in his head, anything that indicated the stress of all this was bringing on an attack, but he didn't feel a thing, which, being real honest, surprised him, and he risked another glance over at the boy in step beside him.
