Re: adrian's place; dietre & hugh
It was getting late, Hugh supposed, and perhaps he ought to say that he should go, but his fingers were still in Dietre's and he didn't really want to let go and so with a quick decisiveness, he offered a smile. "Maybe one more, if you don't need to go to bed just yet, I mean. I could go, but if you think there's time, let's do one more," he knew he'd have to let go of the hand so that Dietre could start another thing on the piano, so he did, sliding his fingers out gently, almost a caress.
"Plus, you should practice again, cause that way it'll set better in your memory?" This was an excuse, and he knew it, and he suspected Dietre would see it as the excuse that it was as well, but he didn't really care about that. Let it be obvious he wanted one more dance, maybe it would... help somehow? Or maybe that was wishful thinking. What might really help would be Hugh figuring out the way to not mess things up, but that was definitely more than he was going to pull together in a weekend.
He let Dietre start another roll before he reached his hand out, watching Dietre's face with a littlemore seriousness than might be typical from him, although a smile still graced his lips. "Someday I'll teach you to lead," he told him. "It might be helpful at some point."
