Re: Home: Outside: Iris/Manning
There wasn't the sort of power inside Iris that would flash itself across the sky. No, her emotions were so often turned back upon herself instead of flung out where others could see or get caught in the storm of them. But for the moment, they snapped outward, finding wisps of kindling to catch the spark of it, and her deep breath only bringing in the air to fan in.
Still trapped in her anger, she glared at her husband - the lack of official ceremony far from her mind at the moment - and opened her hands again, placing them flat against Manning's chest and shoving him hard. Ris stayed to the side, a growl in his own throat and canine eyes sharp on the both of them. She stepped in again, no matter if Manning had moved back at all or managed to stand his ground, and shoved harder.
"It was too fast," she finally managed, eyes dark as she stared up at him, feeling larger than her own body could contain. "It was too kind." There was rage behind her words, and an unvoiced scream in her chest, wanting a more painful vengeance for the one that dared to harm her child.
