Re: lakeside mansion; hugh c. & dietre a.
Admittedly it was at least 55% wine that made Hugh so completely certain that Dietre would love what was essentially a children's cartoon. Everything was easier to be a little bit enthusiastic about, plus, they'd made it through Dirty Dancing with Dietre seeming to have enjoyed it enough, and Hugh rather thought that suggested well for Beauty and the Beast.
He had relaxed more easily against Dietre this time the familiarity of having done so before meaning he had no qualms about doing so again now. And in fact that familiarity was nice and he was perfectly willing to grab onto it and keep hold now that he'd ventured there. But his head popped up at Dietre's words. "Can you do that?" He asked, but maybe that was a really dumb question. Hugh could read music from a voice standpoint, but he had never learned to play an instrument, and he really didn't know much about piano or any other form of music. He knew Dietre was good - just from the play they'd done before and from the fact that he'd gotten the job playing at the restaurant - but he didn't really know exactly what that meant. "I mean, just play something you've heard once before?"
