Re: [Above Webster's, in Daniel's place: Hannah & Daniel, + Si.]
The apartment beyond the door was lost to Si's shifting focus, as he sought out his sister. He noticed the man in the kitchen area, but it was a vague evaluation of threat level, before Amy came skipping across the space and landed in his arms. Si hugged her back, his embrace protective. "You okay?" He could tell, as soon as he looked at her, that she wasn't. He knew what it meant when she went hazy like that. Like she was moving through the world from behind a veil of gauze. "What happened?" His voice was rough, both from too many cigarettes and the tightness of worry, and he was reluctant to let Amy go when she pulled back.
He did look at Daniel as he was introduced, but his gaze was distrusting. His heart rate was still fluttering rapidly from the haul up the stairs, but his outward demeanor managed to reveal a level of dry frustration. Si didn't offer his hand. "Great," he said, before looking back at his sister. "Let's go."
