Re: tandy & holly; the music store
She kinda knew that he, Holly's opinion of whether or not she had it under control would have been super different if he'd known she'd stabbed a guy in a back alley when the light knife thing had become a thing. Right here, in a back room, where all she had to do was toss the things around, that was control. But if you added in real life complexities to anything that was simple on paper, you weren't left with simple afterward.
She was going to say she figured her dad might have had 'hidden depths' or whatever you called it when you dreamed weird shit about the labs out by the barbed wire fencing. But the phone rang, and the weird, practice moment dissolved like tissue in the rain, where rain was I guess, ordinary life? It wasn't all that weird, comparatively, which said a lot about Repose here that Tandy was kind of settling into and she left the last knife stay lodged in the wall, glinting like a tiny torch for however long it would linger, as she followed Holly out through the front, and let herself out the front of the store.
Light knives definitely didn't make anyone any money, and Tandy lifted a hand and waved in passing as she headed out, back toward the Neighborhood.
