lakeside mansion: Hugh C./Aedan B.
By the time Hugh answered the door in black trousers and a white oxford covered with a green vest that absolutely brought out the color in his eyes there was no sign that he'd had on four different vests in the past ten minutes, but he definitely had. No, the man that answered the door was dressed smartly, curls contained and in place, and a five o'clock shadow that was absolutely purposeful, while the expertly rolled sleeves to his elbow offered the only acquiescence to informality. Hugh was looking forward to the evening, curious about the dance steps, but perhaps equally curious about his neighbor.
They'd really only spoken once on the forums, along with the brief conversation in the car with things eluded to, but not explicitly spoken. Hugh had his suspicions, and if he were being honest about those suspicions, it was possible that he wasn't being entirely careful or wise. Neither by inviting Aedan into his home, nor by having him come alone. But curiosity was winning, or maybe it was curiosity combined alongside a hearty streak of recklessness. And it was merely anticipation that had his heart beating a little more quickly as he'd pulled the door open.
As his eyes caught Aedan's, Hugh smiled, warm and welcoming as he pulled the door open a little more widely. "Aedan, come in," he stepped back, letting it open and giving the man space to enter even as he glanced him over in the light of the entryway. It had been dark in the car, dark when they'd left the train, and they'd only interacted on the forums since. Aedan was maybe a bit older than Hugh, or possibly much older than Hugh, but at least in appearance he seemed to be a bit older. He wore the trousers and black sweater well, and Hugh didn't even bother trying to chase away the flutter of anticipation and hope that the evening would be - well, fun. It had been a while since he'd been able to dance with anyone at home. He nodded to the wine: "I was going to ask if you wanted a drink, but I see you've brought some with you."
