Re: log: caspar & dietre; an audition
Wine, it seemed, was a safe choice. There were no disapproving looks, at least. He accepted his with a nod of thanks before taking a cue from Caspar, mirroring the way he swirled his glass and breathed in the wine’s scent prior to drinking. Dietre did not have an experienced palate, but even he could taste the quality of the wine. The only bitterness to be had was the fact he was being asked to talk about himself. Pure torture.
“Well… I’ve been playing for as long as I can remember, really.” Some of his earliest memories were of his mother humoring him by teaching him simple little melodies. Nothing special, just what any well rounded young lady of means would know how to play. He had been able to evolve on his own from there. “...I’m self taught, for the most part.”
“Other than that…” He peered thoughtfully down at his wine. “There isn’t much to say.” Dietre considered himself terribly boring. You know, aside from being able to see the supernatural, his stints in a crazy house, and those suicide attempts... but those weren't the sort of things you mention during a job interview. So, he found himself listing the most basic facts.
“I’m from Germany. I’m twenty-three. And I live alone with my dog.” An apologetic shrug. “...Perhaps if you asked more specific questions, I could give better answers...?”
