Re: lakeside mansion; hugh c./dietre a.
Hugh closed the door behind Dietre and Sieglinde, and for an instant just watched the two dogs. Sieglinde wasn't very mature - or at least Hugh didn't think that she was. He wasn't a dog expert at all, but the two seemed to be alright, so he drew his attention back to the man in front of him, because he did remember Dietre from Spamalot. Hugh had never been an actor that ignored others who worked off-stage on the productions he was in. He paid attention, learned names, and when possible made friends. And where Dietre had maybe faded a bit since the production, Hugh had regained some confidence simply by default of having so many productions back to back like he had. And Spamalot had been difficult, being on stage with Hannah and trained by Jamie, but the show in the Capital hadn't been, the film hadn't been, and now he was working on a new one, and it was a place o focus his attention.
But even if they hadn't interacted much at the time, there were differences, and from the conversation they'd had on the forums before, and the poem that Dietre had posted, Hugh knew the intervening months must have been a challenge in some regard or another.
"Honestly, it's my pleasure. This house is too big for just me, and Heart enjoys having company as well," His gaze swept over Dietre, and he offered him a warm smile, resisting the urge to also give him a hug. The man looked like he could use one, but Hugh might be a physical and touchy person, he wasn't certain if Dietre would be, and he really barely knew him at this point. He glanced over at the dogs. "If you'd like I could make us a hot beverage and we could take them out to the back porch and let them play and get to know each other outside until we get too cold? I've got coffee, various types of tea, hot cocoa, what do you like?"
