Re: [B&B: Dante & Holly]
"Comparing it to your phone's autocorrect is the most accurate, yeah. It's very simplistic, adjusting to best fit your body and movements and intermittently changing pressure, temperature and angles dependant on various equations is all it can and will do. Those equations are waiting for their missing data points which will be filled when the brace is activated to calibrate and learn your movements." They hadn't talked about the cage yet, but they'd get there. First the smart brace, then the cage once they had this up and running.
"It's gonna suck a lot at first." The smile offered was one that was a little sad, but mostly apologetic. "Since the materials aren't configured for adjustment yet it's going to feel a little stiff and a lot of tight, which might hurt initially depending on how healed up and shit you are. Once it's configured the pressure should - in theory - lessen the pain you're dealing with since all the pieces in your leg and knee will be being held in their proper places by the pressure and not allowed to slip out of place." She'd start undoing the various straps and things, showing him as she did it so that Holly would understand how to do a normal unwrap of the brace. "There's also these." The brace would be adjusted to show a couple small straps with a special joint in the back that could be pressed in with a special stopper so that it wouldn't accidentally press. "For quick release. If you need it off right the fuck then, but try not to do that since it'll instantly drop knee form sustaining pressure, okay?" Only once she'd finished unstrapping all the bits would she flatten it out as much as possible.
"Want some help sliding this under your leg, or you got it?" Quickly she'd add. "Just strap it on with the reverse of how I unstrapped it." Maybe her language choices could have been better but... To hell with worry about that shit right now.
