"Of course," he looked over at her with a warm smile. "I love cooking, and this," he waved at the food on his plate. "You are clearly someone who can appreciate a well put together meal, and it'd be really fun to put something together for you. Plus, if we're doing it regularly, you shouldn't always have to cook," he punctuated this with a bite of the egg and the hollandaise sauce and a smile at both.
"Seattle will always be home, I think," Hugh glanced out the large windows towards the lake, remembering that in its own way this had felt a bit like home too when he'd been away from it for a month. "But maybe other places can become home too. Cities have personalities I think, though, and some of them are kindreds maybe, where others will always just be good friends."
He reached for the espresso and took a sip of it. "So tell me something you loved about Colorado, besides the mountains. I couldn't typically see the Cascades from where I lived downtown, but from my parents house when its clear you can see Mount Rainier really easily. They aren't that far from us."
