Re: Pre-Party Set Up: Leena/Chris
The inflatable swords did earn a tiny, wry smile. They weren't conventional in any sense of the word, but that's what Leena liked about them. Celebrations should involve fun, not seriousness, not a repression of all the things that made life memorable. No matter what conversations had happened before she started blowing up swords.
And if Dante needed space to get her walls back up, she had a little bit of it to do so now as they settled down and she panted into the little holes to make the swords inflate. "Yeah, but can you imagine if we had a helium machine to do this? We'd end up with floating swords. And then chipmunks with floating swords,' and that earned another giggle, because she definitely would take a huff off to make her voice higher than normal.
"So -- how long have you been in town?" She asked, conversationally, glancing up at the other woman. "I confess that I really only pay half attention to the forums, but I don't pay much attention to anyone else. I'd say it isn't personal, but have you ever noticed that when people say that, it's deeply personal to the other person? It's bullshit, so I won't say that, but please trust that it's not you?"
