Living Room: Rey + OPEN
Rey was interested in the films, which were an education she was sorely lacking, but she was also interested in the people. She smiled and waved at those she knew and even those she didn't. There was a spot next to her waiting for whoever wanted to join her, whether it was to explain the film, to make conversation, or simply to sit in companionable silence.
She'd had an invitation to spend Christmas in the Capital, but it felt wrong to go up when Ren was here. Rey had agreed to visit for a couple of days between Christmas and New Year, avoiding both of the major events where she'd be expected to attend formal parties and meet people. This was a much easier way to spend the actual holiday: hoodie and fleece-lined leggings, and wine and films, and no awkward questions. Even if she missed Uncle Luke sorely, and she did, Rey was distracted enough by everything that was going on that the grief was muted. It was all she could ask for.
