Re: Haven / Friday: After the Train
Like this, the words came easily to her. At other times words failed her, but as always actions governed no matter what face she wore. And this? This was easy as she twirled around thick trees, moving from the whole of her foot connecting to only the ball and back again, a happy little bounce that was almost out of place.
"We should take you out into the forest more often. It's good for you. It's good for everyone. The feeling of the trees, how sweet the air is. And then you'll get to hear the animals. The birds, the deer, the foxes. Have you ever seen a fox? A live out not in a zoo? They're playful creatures. I'm preferential to eagles though, and you may see some of those nesting."
She glanced up again, almost hoping that she might see the outline of wings against the moon, but there wasn't anything. "Golden eagles are my favorite," she said, almost absent mindedly as she led Marta around the trees in some design only she was paying attention to. "Have I told you my brother is in town? He lives with his -- I suppose she is his intended. now and their daughters."
