It wasn't a face she wore often around town -- the last time had been the winter solstice -- the ride -- she should check on Ragnar -- but likely one that Marta didn't know. "Mmm," she hummed, noncommittal, and looked her over. The panic was going to start for her, likely soon, and there was no threat here, no reason for her to stay as she was. She turned, backlit by the moon for a moment, like one would use the sun to mask their features. Only around her the moon seemed brighter, but perhaps that was only the shade of her body in front of it.
"Close your eyes." It was an order, but a kind one as her calloused thumbs sweeped over the back of her hands. "You know me with a different face." As if that was an explanation, as if that was enough, and to her mind it was. Besides, Marta was obedient -- what she asked for, she received, and she fully believed now that she would have as she asked. "Close your eyes for me."
