Re: [B&B: Holly & Noah]
NO ONE was talking about the HOOKER PART of Mr. Brightside. Just the 'it was only a kiss' line. I don't even think Noah got that the song was about a hooker. It was just catchy af. Noah knew that what Holly did was sex work, ofc. But, beyond his jealousy, it didn't register much. The dude wasn't mad torn up about it, so it was far from his, Noah's, everyday radar, except, like I mentioned, where jealousy was concerned. And maybe Noah hadn't made it clear? But, Holly WAS different for Noah. This. All of it. Noah had fucked people. Noah had even loved—thought he loved?—people. But, everything was different with Holly, start to finish, head to toe. He'd have to make that more explicit.
Business happened, regardless. Holly's mind tinkered through thoughts, memories, feelings, and Noah sort of just spectated, as he always did, as he pulled leggings on. He tried to remember the myriad things he felt/experienced/whatever during the day, but a lot of the stuff just left ripples, small cracks, without anything more concrete. Holly left sediment behind, but there was a lot and Noah lost track. Even now, he was getting vibes from all over the house, and he was glad of the idea of being outside. There was always space outside.
So, down he went. Not counting the seconds, even as Holly did. Not watching each grain of sand. He couldn't be that dude. He could be the dude who was dragged in, flush to his husband's side, feeling the dude's hots for him like something visceral. One kiss was never one kiss, but it didn't matter. Noah wanted it as much as Holly. He parted his lips, first just a little, then more, as he twisted on his feet to bring his chest to Holly's. They were in a fairly public space, and he was in leggings, which meant if he got hard now, everyone—and literally their grandmother—would know. Noah made a frustrated sound into the kiss, even as he pushed his tongue into Holly's mouth.
