Re: [B&B: Holly & Noah]
Holly knew the B&B job was a lot, but he also had faith that Noah could knock it out of the park. He had worried so fucking much about Noah doing a bunch of part-time jobs that were way beneath him, and he thought this would help the guy feel better about himself, you know? Even if hotel management wasn't what Noah wanted to do with the rest of his life. And Holly worried about that stuff, about the rest of their lives. He also wanted to make sure Noah was set if he, Holly, disappeared or died, and so he was thinking about Jack's bar in relation to that.
But, to be fair, he wasn't thinking about any of that stuff when he walked inside. Nah, his emotions were too raw and near the surface, and he was really only thinking about himself and Noah, but in this, like, immediate way. Not some long-term planning way.
As for the B&B? He didn't mind the place. He hadn't seen or felt anything weird at all, and the attic apartment was so fucking homey. So, right, he was at the counter, hitching his bag higher on his shoulder and watching as Noah picked up that pen. The guy, Noah, looked good. Tucked in and plaid, and Holly just stared for a second, and he was way obvious about it. And he'd intended to do this long, drawn-out, playful thing, right? But seeing the guy? All that worry came slamming back, and his patience went right out the proverbial window. He leaned more fully on that wooden counter, and he looked Noah straight in the eye. "I just wanna kiss you."
