Re: [B&B: Shiloh & Diego]
Diego's eyebrows rose again, then sank back down because he really didn't have the energy to respond to that. He was sure Shiloh was the kind of man to delight in riddles and being called an enigma, and Diego just wasn't down for that.
Easier to move on.
"It's a personal issue, I'm sure it's fine. I've become less of a risk taker in recent years-" funnily enough he'd been braver when he was a girl. "I'll blame my old age." He hadn't hit thirty yet, but call it human nature. Self preservation. Any number of things.
Back to laughing- Diego enjoyed this kind of laughing, the kind that bordered on a little bit teasing and a little bit naughty. He wasn't going to say that out loud, because no doubt Shiloh was nowhere near crossing out of PG yet, former parts of conversation included. "I have no doubt about that. But I'll do my best to ensure you're somewhere safe before I settle in for the night with my body pillow and eye mask."
He tapped at his computer and pulled up the calendar. Nothing to do Friday as long as he'd finished up what he was working on at the moment. A few days would be fine. Diego laughed sarcastically at the implication that ten might be to late for him. "I'll have a Red Bull to keep me going, don't worry. Once I'm on the fizzy drinks there's no stopping me. And Friday's fine, yeah. I can fit you in for a night of mild debauchery."
