Working without any fixed schedule meant that Diego didn't have a whole lot of concept of time. He had alarms set on his phone for the days he had to go to his actual satisfying employment, but every other day just melted into the next.
This morning he was sitting down in the communal area of the BnB. Having just indulged in eight hours of the first B, Diego was ready for the second. He had scrambled eggs in front of him, and several pieces of toast, and was currently reading through a book on car engines and using his laptop to try and source something he could play with for a few days.
He was dressed pretty casually, slouching in his chair, which meant when he was approached by a rather more dashing young man, dressed like he was on his way to a meeting, Diego sat himself up a little straighter.
That made it even more of a surprise when the new arrival gestured to the chair at Diego's table. There was plenty of space in the rest of the room, but, not being a complete asshole, Diego nodded.
"Sure. Go for it. Uh- I'm Diego," he offered, nudging his breakfast plate slightly closer to himself to make space.
