Re: Graveyard Date
“It's too late for anyone to protect you, V. I’m already playing with you.” Vaughn surely knew that cats played with their food before they ate, didn’t he? Not that Mao had any intention of eating the man, he just liked to keep him on his toes and wondering with these sly implications.
Mao wondered at being told this was the busy season. His first thought that there would be more for him to eat (yay!), as more bodies meant more chances for Vaughn to sneak bits and pieces out. But thinking about it, Mao wasn’t sure how eager he was to eat the victims of magic hijinks. What if the spells that killed these people stayed in their flesh and gave him some crazy side effects? “I’m counting on you not to bring me anything that’s gonna give me food poisoning. Maybe don’t give me anything from a, uh… too unusual death, ok? Or anyone who looks like they got killed by a dog, I don’t want a werewolf’s sloppy seconds.”
When asked about what he got up to Mao shrugged. He’d like people to think he lived an exciting life, but the truth was pretty boring aside from the demon shit (in his opinion.) “Oh, you know… Sometimes I go to the Capital to party. Sometimes I just creep around town. I hang out here a lot, actually.” He flashed another of those winning smiles. “I come out here when everyone is gone and dance.”
