"That seems fair," Hugh laughed lightly. "Granted Zooey Deschanel and I have similar views that there should be no talking before 10am, just hugs, and I would add coffee." He glanced back at his menu for a moment, ready to smile at Theodore's ordering of the Brie and to order his own jack and coke.
Theodore's comment as she departed caused Hugh to glance after her, thoughtfully. Maybe she did, it wouldn't be an impossible thing, although he had gotten used to being more afraid that people would recognize him than it turned out most people actually did, and perhaps in that experience had come to expect people not to recognize him. This was chased by the realization that if she did, he could probably get a number out of the evening if he played his cards right, and additionally by the realization that he hadn't even thought about it before that point, which didn't feel much like himself. He reached for the cup of water she'd brought him. "It's possible," he shook his head with a smile, pulling his focus back on the here and now and the man in front of him. "This is the final weekend, so maybe she caught an early showing.
"Or perhaps she's seen the film..." He trailed, uncertain about this. "You know it's strange to be so proud of your work on something, and at the same time, really wish nobody had seen it, but actually I'm hoping to do more film work. I, uh, ran an audition earlier this week for an indie project that's filming about three hours away. If I did it, I'd probably be a few weeks away from Repose, but I think it'd be a good project to get involved with. I've also done some auditions for some television that films locally, and of course some of the plays that are going to be upcoming - honestly, I don't know," he shrugged with a smile. "There are possibilities, and I don't have a firm signature on paper from any of them just yet, but I'm confident at least one of them will work." He hoped anyway.
