"After my initial visit, my expectations are fairly high, but perhaps we ought to bring them down a notch to not risk disappointment," Hugh joked. Honestly though, even if it wasn't as excellent as it had been the first time, there was still a lot of room for the food to be good and the atmosphere itself was a point in the place's favor. And maybe with any luck this would be the start of him doing this sort of thing more regularly. Yes, it made for a late night back to Repose, but Hugh had always been a night owl, and between the people he had met working on the show, and between perhaps a few new friends that he could entice out, there might be space for it to happen more frequently. That thought was a pleasant one and it kept the smile on his lips.
"I suppose that's true, it's what? Early morning in London?" He wasn't entirely certain of that, but they were any number of hours ahead - and that he did know. "I'd say this is a good way to get you readjusted back to this time zone, but I might be readjusting you to theatre time, which isn't really normal person time at all." He smiled though, the praise - as it always did - bringing warmth and a sense of satisfaction in a job well done. "I'm really glad that you enjoyed it, and thank you. I've really enjoyed working on this show, the smaller intimate cast has been a nice step back into professional theatre."
He glanced down at the menu. "How do you feel about Brie? Because I ordered it last time, and as much as I want to break out, I also really would like to have the baked brie again."
