Re: Hookerville: Billy/Si
Billy barked a short, sharp laugh that was more just a burst of bitter sound around his smoke than anything actually resembling humour. He made a face to no one in particular and gestured sort of wildly back in the direction of Destiny's trailer, drawing a lopsided loop in the air. "I dunno, like - how d'you think you'd feel if your sister vanished literally without a trace, and the whole place smelled like death magic? Probably a lot like that." The words didn't come out bitter like the not-laugh had done. Instead Billy sounded oddly blank, even to his own ears. He glanced up at Si for a second but like, wasn't really seeing him?
And that was the thing. The acrid stench of something like death lingered in the air, clung to Billy's clothes, and it had been all he could focus on since he'd shown up back in Hookerville. Billy stopped pacing abruptly and this time when he levelled his gaze toward's the guy's face, he was present. A shark-eyed edge of panic simmered just barely under the surface, but okay, present. "I don't really know my sister that well, but I think she would probably die before she left Wyatt on purpose. So all I can think is that she did - like, die - or she was taken."
