Re: [Hall Way: Delyth & Patrick]
"I agree, my girl. I left here for college, and I believed I would never return to this place," he said, not explaining that Repose had always carried a huge threat in his young mind; the accident. Even when Con had insisted that the accident had been nothing but an accident, that his memory was simply missing information, he had known this was not the case. In his gut, man, he had always known. He had believed leaving town would be the same as leaving all those doubts behind, but this had not been the case, and he had returned home. "In the end, I returned. I am not saying this is the only place I consider home, but I do not intend to leave it." This was perhaps cryptic, but he thought it would be most confusing to explain his true home during an initial cup of coffee.
He sat comfortably in his chair and sipped at his coffee. He was supposed to be deciding what he was going to do with his life now that he had returned to town, but the dude did not much like thinking about things for too long at once, so this was a nice break. He was glad to have met someone who could help him with conversation about his bro's head, even if he had not informed her that this was who the issue was about.
The dude considered, and he put his coffee cup down after another long swallow. "I am not certain that is sufficient in this case," he said after a moment. "I wish it was, my girl, but I do not believe so. The person in question has multiple personalities, which I know non-magical medicine has no solution for. I was wondering if the magical world had any known cures for this ailment." Maybe this was a dumb thing to ask, since Newt would have made a suggestion if this was a viable option. "Perhaps there are things that cannot be altered, and one must simply find ways to deal in a healthy manner."
