Mal knew about the radios, but he had been wondering more about the physical plane. "Oh, don't worry," he said. "I have strayed. I'm sure I will again." No question. He would try to do right, and lean on what had come before when he forgot why he had diverted from that path.
He snorted. "Press the seams vigorously. Those are my instructions." Atticus said he wouldn't be going anywhere, and he did wonder, just a little, just to himself. He had decided he liked Atticus, after a conversation's long assessment. He liked the man, even if it felt possible that the man was nuts. "I might come hang out sometime. I've never been to the island. If I turn into a baby, I'll trust you to float me back out to shore."
