Re: [Recovery: Marta & Hannah]
Marta wasn't quite at the point to equate other people leaving her with feeling as bad as it felt when someone left her. She'd get there... eventually. But there were still days ahead of her before that.
Marta could see it in Hannah's eyes, now that she was looking. The same sort of darkness and sadness that she'd seen in other girls when they were trapped in bad situations (either present or past). There was a knowing that a woman ended up having, and it left an indelible mark on her. If you knew what you were looking for, it could be hard to miss. Not always - there were those that were almost too skilled at hiding, but Hannah wasn't hiding at the moment. Marta didn't know how deep it went, didn't know how hurt Hannah had been, but she knew it was there and knew that she'd pulled it back to the surface.
In apology, she reached out again, aiming just for Hannah's hand and laying her own fingers over it. She didn't pull them back right away like last time, just let them rest there for a moment. She didn't reach for the tablet because it would mean moving her hand. So instead of typing anything, she used her free hand to tap at Hannah's chest, just below the dip of collarbone. Carefully and gently - tap tap - and a raising of her eyebrows. 'You too,' the look was meant to say. If Hannah was being hurt, she needed to call this David.
