Re: [Recovery: Marta & Hannah]
Marta didn't know that Hannah was so concerned about her happiness, to the point of plotting out who to set Marta up with. Or connect her to. Or... whatever was the more appropriate descriptor. There was no thought in her mind of being in any way involved with ruining Hannah's relationship with her brother. Obviously, the most important connection in the whole mess was Hannah and Si. At least in Marta's opinion. Far more important than whether or not she needed "good things" in her life. She was determined to not sacrifice other people's good things for herself anymore. Her doctor had been talking about personal responsibility lately, and Marta felt that was part of it.
Marta knew "cranky in a bad way" as much as many other women did. She knew the cruelty that could be brought through the door when a man was in a bad mood, when he just wanted something to make him feel important. She knew how pain and power could go hand in hand. But never because of anything that Seven had done. Men before him, and men since, but never him. She was shocked enough by the question that her gaze jerked up to Hannah's, and she didn't even think about the process of saying something - it just came out, rough and awkward and quiet.
