Re: [Recovery: Marta & Hannah]
Hannah wasn't expecting Marta to move her chair, and the movement made her move too, made her help by nudging her own chair closer, unfolding her legs temporarily to do so. She understood immediately why, and this was one moment where she wasn't inquisitively head-cock and curious. She shifted until she was leaning against the arm of her chair, the one closest to Marta, and she watched as Marta replied by moving her fingers over the tablet.
She didn't know what brains were good at, but she wanted to believe what Marta wrote. "So the non-bad parts can figure out how to do what the bad parts did?" she asked, but she thought learning to talk again felt like something really, really hard to do.
Marta hummed, and Hannah looked at Marta's hands. It was an expected reaction to Marta saying doing things with her hands was hard too, and Hannah was thinking about drugs again, about bad things, about overdosing and fingers that didn't work and lips that didn't make sound. It all worried her in a really personal way, and she was an open book with emotions flickering themselves to life on her expressive face.
"Does Seven know?" she finally asked, because that was who she knew that Marta had a close relationship with. He'd paid for this beautiful place, and he needed to care, right? No one did something like this without caring being a part of it, or she thought so. And, curiouser still, "does Si?" Because she wasn't sure how close that relationship had become, and Hannah was good at spinning things from small to big and vast and consuming. Lastly, "Destiny will want to help if she can," she added, because Destiny always did want to help.
