"And there are killer whales, aren't there?" Theodore thought he had read that somewhere. There was something both fascinating and downright terrifying about large marine life. And yes, that thought coming from someone who had legitimately seen an actual dragon. However, those two things were not mutually exclusive. "Other whales, too, I suppose. It would be interesting to go out on a tour and see some of those." Whales, by and large, didn't stray close to the East Coast that he was aware of. Perhaps it was too cold, and at any rate, he had never seen any.
"Ah, I think she just moved back? I haven't met up with her myself, just yet. I should be a better friend in that regard, considering she is currrently one of the few people I know here." So he thought, but he had a feeling there were others, or at least, others he knew of. "Even in a small town, there are still bound to be a lot of people you won't meet." The way Hugh said 'quiet' was sort of interesting, as it didn't seem to mean dull and sleepy, like a boring, lazy summer. More like...well, quiet, as opposed to loud.
"I think I'm good on coffee," Theodore said. "But I could offer to help with the dinner dishes, if you'd like? I feel like in movies they make that seem to be the most natural way for two people to converse, but I could never hear anything over the sound of the water and the clanging of pots."
