log; hugh & theodore WHO: Hugh & Theodore WHEN: Friday evening, following this. WHERE: Hugh's home. SUMMARY: After dinner coffee and conversation. WARNINGS: Probably none? Will update, if necessary.
It hadn’t taken very long for Elaine to get settled in with a film in his home theatre. Hugh knew that his home was absolutely ridiculous, but there were also things he distinctly loved about it and a home theatre that was nearly the size of his once upon a time studio apartment was absolutely one of them. He told her to come find him if anything messed up, before pulling the pocket doors nearly closed and returning to the large great room to rejoin Theodore.
Espresso, the older of the two cats, was reclined across the back of the chair nearest the fireplace as if he was expecting that it might start up despite the fact that there was no chance of it in summer. Heart had followed him in and stayed with Elaine, Cinnamon, the younger of the cats was nowhere to be seen, and Theodore was where Hugh had left him.
“I think I got Elaine all settled in,” he told the other man with a warm smile. “Which means we have to figure out something to do to entertain ourselves for a couple of hours,” he quipped easily. While Hugh had no issue with bringing Elaine home after the film should Theo decide he wanted to retire, he was half hopeful that Theo would stay, and that conversation would prove as easy as it had been the other night when he’d joined him after the walk, and on the forum itself.
“Would you like some coffee?” He offered, crossing towards the kitchen, but turning as he reached the counter so he could look at Theodore. “I was thinking I might make some up for me. Or I could make tea – although I don’t promise that I’ll be anything other than dreadfully American about it. There’s gin, and that sort of thing too, if you’d prefer.”
