Aleksi watched with amusement as the siblings pushed at each other. It reminded him very much of his pack back home, of the way the youngest members would always be climbing all over one another and every inanimate object they could find. He put the memory aside to be dealt with later, when he could handle the hurt of it, and gave Alice a smile in return for the look she shot him over the table, hoping it wasn’t tinged with any lingering sadness.
Curling his hands around the coffee mug the waitress sat in front of him, Aleksi listened carefully trying to fit this new information together with what Alice had already said. “That sounds like a very complicated situation,” Aleksi commented, looking over at Si as he added his thoughts. “Is it something wherein you could... ‘check in’ over the forums?” he asked as he added a few creamers to his coffee. “Rather than doing so in person?”
