Re: Lakeside:Theodore/Hugh
Hugh raised his eyebrows and nodded, giving a small smile at it. That had definitely been true for him, because Repose had never been on a short list of places he would have considered living. He honestly hadn't ever heard of the town until his Father had sent him the address of the house he had purchased, and it certainly met the 'off the beaten path' criteria well enough.
He started up the stone steps towards the patio, again, taking his time to allow Theodore to take his. "I'll try not to disappoint with either the wine or the music," he glanced back with a warm smile and then a brighter one. "Yes I'm an actor. I took a bit of time off, and this is my first professional play back, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it." Contentment was easy in his tone. "It's a musical, you've probably not heard of it, but it's called The Last Five Years, and it's essentially the story of a marriage and it's dissolution front to back, or back to front depending upon whether you're viewing it from his perspective, or hers. It's been... therapeutic almost, I think an opportunity to examine relationships a bit." He caught himself and looked sheepishly at the man next to him. "Sorry, I go on sometimes. But yes, it opens the end of the month in the Capital, and I am now full-fledged living and breathing that."
He'd left the lights on in the house and they became visible as they reached the top of the steps and the patio came into view. Heart bounded up past them and then came to a halt in front of the door looking back, expecting to be let in. "Massachusetts?" Hugh shook his head. "Good lord that's a drive for certain, and with a seventeen year old," he grinned. "I feel like that's very brave. What books?" He added, curiously. "Anything I would have heard of?"
