"Nearly a year," Hugh glanced towards his companion and then back towards the house. "I don't think I'd planned on staying that long, but I don't feel as if I'm ready to leave just yet." He had reasons to stay currently, anyway, play not withstanding.
Hugh laughed, "Okay, I'm feeling a little ridiculous that I and a seventeen-year-old have some of the same tastes, but you cannot go wrong with Ella Fitzgerald or Amy Winehouse either, so perhaps my reputation will be saved in your estimation with that one?" He chuckled at himself, and paused as Heart came bounding back towards him for a series of ear rubs, before she bounded back off again towards the boathouse. "I'll confess, I'm working on a play right now, and so most of my listening time has been a full-fledged constant twenty-four seven listening to all of my songs and cues. I'd be happy to turn on either of those when we get up there."
He tilted his head, considering Theodore out of the corner of his eye. He didn't look old enough to have a child that old, but he did have a wedding ring, so perhaps. "Where were you driving from, that you were stuck with Billie Ellish and Shawn Mendes for hours on end?"
