Re: Holly's place: Holly/ Noah
Okay, okay, so the fears were normal, and a shrink would probably tell him that everyone went through some of what he was going through right now, but Holly was still way uncomfortable with the vulnerability of it. The meds made it harder to shove things down and away, and they made it more likely for him to talk openly, and none of it felt like him. The him he'd cultivated, that helped him make it through life, right? He didn't want any of it, and the only person he opened up at all with was Noah. but he knew this had to fuck the guy up, right? If he could feel this.
So, he scooted. He scooted, and he reached, and Noah was up against him. The guy's bare stomach felt like safety against Holly's back. Warm, solid, substantial, and Noah's arm was like a tether, and Holly was kinda caught between wanting to lean back and wanting to make Noah climb over him, you know, so he could see the guy's face. But there was something insanely soothing about being enveloped, so Holly ended up just pressing back as Noah snuggled forward, until there wasn't any room at all. Noah's voice? Was there and near, and Holly closed his eyes and listened. He thought things back a few times: I missed you too and you feel insanely good, and then he was just listening.
"Like... precognition?" he asked, voice quiet and like the military could hear them over the persistent white noise of the ASMR still playing on the laptop loudly. "I'm glad you didn't come. I was worried you would, and I wanted you to kinda, but mostly I wanted you to stay safe wherever you were. It was fucking terrifying. I mean, first everything was this black smoke, and we couldn't see, and then it as just gunshots everywhere in this unnatural darkness." Which Noah already knew, but Holly also hadn't talked about it aloud, and the words were shaky whispers and vivid imagery that felt more real than reality. He swallowed thickly. "Keep talking. Keep going. What happened after you felt like something bad was coming?"
