Eames & Hannah & Arthur: training
Who: Eames and Hannah and Arthur
What: Dream-training (sorry, Arthur)
Warnings: Let's go with TBD given Eames is involved in dreaming here.
Eames had never been to the company headquarters. Too far down the pecking order, darling, and the company liked its loose ends tidy and out of the way even if they had no intention of cutting them. He imagined the company headquarters looked a little like the outpost at the far end of town, bristling with security like armored teeth at every checkpoint he handed a newly-issued ID to. Slightly bland, exceptionally clean and a vague air of threat in the thrum of florescent overhead lighting. It was nothing like the little lab in the Capital, behind the doors of the clinic that purported to help with dreams, with providing soothing ones or establishing more than one person in one. That was faintly grubby, it made no bones about the fact he was a test subject and nothing else.
He'd the memory of the latest dream he'd dreamed that didn't belong to him faintly clinging to his consciousness as he strolled past the last featured security guard and into the main hallway with his hands in his pockets and whistling something vaguely and irritatingly - Eames was tone deaf, and couldn't sing a note. He was ruining the line of a pair of dark, brick-red pants, under a creamily-pink blazer and a shirt that was the palest green, with lavender paisley wriggling around the length of it. He'd been told to direct himself to a room along the corridor, one as glossily and expensively white as everything else, and in it the sort of set up that would have made any good chemist cry.
Two narrow pallet-beds, side by side, and an impressively medical-looking series of IV stands, monitoring devices and who knew what else. There was a camera, somewhere in here, Eames knew well enough and he waited for Hannah, for the girl who liked books and wasn't seen and wondered what her dreams might be like.
