Re: Under the trees: Misha/Damian
Damian was unaware that things were going so poorly, academically, for Misha. He knew that the boy had admitted to missing many days, but that did not translate to Damian as anything other than this. It was not as if Misha was forthcoming with such information either. Though he had told the anonymous person upon the forums that he and Misha spoke only honestly with one another, it had been Misha's habit from the beginning to omit. Damian found this behavior dishonest, but the angel seemed to disagree. He did it often. But, if Damian did not know the truth, he did not know to press, and this was a truth he was unaware of, or perhaps his mood would be sterner. As it was, he had spent some of the day in the Capital himself, at Wainright HQ, followed by a visit to the collection at the recreation center here in Repose. His mood, then, was surprisingly buoyant.
He had changed at home, prior to arriving at this bonfire, and he had spent the time he attended alone sipping at beer. This added to his mood, of course, and he had actually talked to a number of people who were not Misha. Of course, that did not mean he was not ready the moment he felt the boy's presence, mentally, to go to him. He was. Damian bid farewell to whoever it was he was speaking to, some stranger, and he went in search of Misha.—The repeated beckonings brought him closer to the treeline, and it did not take him long thereafter to spy Misha leaning against the trunk of what appeared to be an oak.
The boy was beautiful. Damian observed this, taking in the simple white t-shirt and the jeans and boots. There was no way for Misha to not know where he was, or he might have been tempted to climb the tree from the direction opposite and drop down from the branches. As it was, such would be futile, so Damian simply approached from where he was, coming at the tree at a near 45 degree angle. He smiled broadly, no cup in his hands. "Habibi!" If he was able, he wrapped the angel in an embrace and nudged his nose to fine jawline. "I have missed you."
