This was not something Klaus did. This was, in fact, the thing that Klaus avoided at all costs. If he could not see ghosts, he would absolutely one thousand percent take that route.
Why he was putting this much effort in to help a stranger he really had no idea. Why he'd gone through the physical hell of withdrawal for someone he didn't know, to help him with some shit that was none of Klaus' business, he didn't know. It wasn't for the money. Klaus had gotten by fine without money.
And being sober, he now had oh so many new ghost friends lurking around him, yelling at him, watching him. Fuck, this really was the worst thing he'd ever voluntarily done. This was why he was a selfish prick the whole time.
This guy, Seven, trusted Klaus for some reason. Trusted that Klaus could talk to ghosts and wasn't about to fleece him and maybe steal his belongings. Idiot.
"Stop it, this isn't about you, and you have to wait outside, because otherwise I'll get confused. I'm trying to do something nice," Klaus muttered to the frail man that was following him around currently. "I'll deal with you afterwards if this isn't too traumatic. I mean, this is already totally traumatic-"
Klaus was draped in a long, faux fur coat. Purple. Beneath which he wore some black leggings and a black lace crop top. It was almost coordinated. Oh, and his sunglasses, because light hurt his eyes so much. Urgh, sobriety.
He'd walked, because he didn't have the cash on hand to get a cab, and finally here he was. "I'm serious, you have to leave me alone so I can do- and you-" Klaus turned to his other side where a little girl had now appeared. "I already told you I don't know how to help you. Maybe go and see a priest. Hi, I'm Klaus!" he called ahead to the man sitting on his front step, assuming it was the proprietor and, for lack of better words, his client.
He held out his hand as he approached, because it seemed like the nicest thing to do. Behind his sunglasses he looked around at the house behind Seven, trying to see some kind of sign of whoever might be hanging around.
