Re: [Capital: Misha & The Revenant]
"I can't change what you've done, it's true. I can't change what's happened to you, neither," he added, though that wasn't wasn't true none. Long gone were the days when Misha truly believed he couldn't say falsehoods or hurt folks. He could travel right back down David's timeline, should he want to, and that was all his momma's gift. But he knew he couldn't do that for everyone in life, and so it wasn't something he'd offer. Time, it was too precarious for fussing with, and he'd decided that was true even on Heaven's whim. But this, setting things right moving forward, this was something he could sure 'nough do, and he would.
"I'll be one step behind you, always," he told David, and it wasn't a threat none. It was a promise. He didn't follow, but true 'nough that Misha would be there if David went to kill again. Right after, at the moment of, or once David walked through the door and considered it done. Things would be set right, and Misha had all the time in the world to make sure he kept his word.
This was what guardians did, malakhim, and Misha reckoned he'd do this thing to prove he was his momma's son, and not just his daddy's.
