Jeremiah let out a short huff of air, amused. He might just write it all out when she was gone, or type it on the typewriter he did in fact own, if not actually use, and tape it up as a reminder, just on half a whim. He took a drink of the coffee, and then leaned back against the nearest wall, watching her.
There was a time he'd have definitely made a move then, and he could feel all of the habitual dance steps there ready to be called on. Smooth lines and easy flirting, but that didn't seem to be who he was anymore. Or maybe it was just on hiatus.
"Too bad we didn't grow up together we could have terrified them both at once," he winked at her, took another sip. "That's not much like my father, but in that they're different from us, I feel shared experience." He rested the bottom of the mug on his hand and tilted his head. "How did you end up in Repose, if its not too nosy to ask."
