Re: Hannah & Jeremiah; Jester's Court
"I think I'd like that too," he laughed. "Maybe that should be the next screenplay I write," he suggested as he stepped forward. It would be a twist on an old thing, and could be equally romantic. He wondered if it would be hard to write, or maybe he could write it with Hannah - she could help him make certain it was as it should be. He didn't know if she'd want to write it, but she could read it, check it, and he could talk ideas over with her... this thought had caught, like a leave in the breeze, suddenly several feet down from where it had started, and he wasn't certain she'd even be interested, but even the idea of it - he loved the idea of it.
He stepped up behind her, and he looked out over her shoulder, around her head and he watched, looking for the things that she saw, and smiling as he sort of saw them, and when she turned to kiss his jaw, he smiled and urged her turned to face him. Face-to-face so that he could look at her instead of outside. "I'll tell you a secret," he told her softly. "I think you already have saved me. Here. Now. This time, and a hundred others," he brought a hand up to press against her cheek for a moment.
After a beat he looked back out of the window.
"I see our kingdom," he told her softly with a smile on his lips. "I see a future, or the hope of one." He turned back, looking at her again, and he leaned in to kiss her softly. "I see you." And he was pretty certain that he did, in this tower where she was saving him and he was watching her back, and there was a kingdom of shadows and possibilities.
