Re: Hannah & Jeremiah; Jester's Court
Hannah was smiling, and her laughter trailed after her as she ran. At first, she went a little slow, wanting to ensure that he was there, following, there, behind her. Once she was sure, and only after a twirl and a bit of a backwards run to stick her tongue out at him when he said she had an unfair advantage, she turned and ran, ran, ran, as fast as her legs could carry her.
She was an AI, true, yes, but she was programmed with human limitations. She was only supposed to be as fast, as strong, as resilient as humans, and she was supposed to be Amy, if more agreeable, and she wasn't faster than he was. He caught her easily with his longer stride, and she laughed a delighted laugh when he drew his arms around her and pulled her back into his embrace. Her laughter was copper penny brightness, and the shadows surrounded them like bokeh, and Hannah smiled when he kissed her neck, and she tipped her head a little to give him more room. "I think we can go anywhere we want, but only if you admit I won fair and square." Though, she hadn't.
But she was already moving, pulling away and twirling in a slow circle as she looked up at the castle and its spires. She was going to suggest they look around, that they try to find a way up, but he reached for her hand and suggested climbing, and her gaze followed his to the gate she'd missed initially. "Oh!" she said, thrilled, and she moved and tugged and led, stopping only once they reached the gate to allow him to open it for her. "The gentleman should open the gate for the lady," she suggested, deliberately affecting a very regal accent that she ruined with a smile and a laugh and a kiss to his cheek, before dropping into a very poor imitation of a curtsy.
