[Tandy & Holly: the good diner]
Holly had agreed to meet Tandy, but he was kinda dreading it. He was kinda in a paranoid state of mind since the incident with Elijah, and he'd only found that to be an escalating situation. It was like William Shatner in that Twilight Zone episode on the plane, right? There was a monster on the wing and only he seemed to be able to see it, and everyone else thought he was way nuts. Noah didn't think he was crazy, which was nice, because he was maybe starting to doubt it himself. What he'd been so sure about for the past few months had become murky. He couldn't find clarity anywhere.
So, meeting Tandy was kinda like agreeing to go out to the woods with Travis, and Holly wasn't sure either thing was a good idea. The guy had a killer sense of self-preservation, and that sense of self-preservation told him that getting too close to anyone from back home might screw things up. Now, he had no way of being certain this Tandy was from back home, but he was definitely closer to being Holly's version than a girl was. Anyway, that was the risk. But he was also curious, and it was curiosity that led him to the diner. He reasoned this wasn't anywhere near as dangerous as going to see Travis in the woods, so, right. Lesser of two evils.
He would bail if anything felt weird.
Jacket, plaid, and tee, paired with denim, he walked into the diner and looked around. And, yep, there was Tandy. Scribbling, which was what Tandy did back home. He crossed the space, slipped into the other side of the booth, and glanced down at the sketchpad.] Still into the art thing, huh?
