Re: Dinner: Athelstan and Ragnar
It wasn't a brag so much as a way for Ragnar to say that other homes might have what he did, but they were missing the one thing his wasn't -- him. It had all the creature comforts that could be afforded,, perhaps more than the B&B did.
"You didn't get enough of us living together years ago?" He teased gently, and foriked off a bit more salmon. "It's your space, Ragnar. Are you sure you want me icing here? That you want to share it?" Would he want to if their positions were reversed? Perhaps not with anyone else, but with Ragnar? He brought the fork u and ate another delicious bite of dinner.
"I'm not surprised." Athelstan had also learned a great many things, but those were mostly politics, how the world moved when was one standing on the fringes. It looked like RAgnar had gone a more practical route, but that wasn't surprising either. "The piano?" He asked, smiling. "Do you have one? Will you play for me?"
It was hard not to smile in the face of Ragnar being coy, mentioning his gifts as if they were nothing, but they were everything.
