[Weekly, at different spots around the lake, deep in the woods, there are piles of burning... something. They aren't bodies, precisely, but they appear to have been bodies at some point. The piles burn quickly, and they smell foul. The things are burnt at different times of the day and night to avoid detection, and the smoke that rises from them is a pungent, sooty gray. If the piles are examined, the remains are found to be already decomposing, despite having recently burned.]
