Re: Museum: Connor and Ragnar
"No, I am still not, but it is a necessity," Ragnar shrugged. He was considered a notable expert in his field, and that came with all the nonsense like speeches and lectures. "They are insisting I write a book. I have put that off for many years, but I am beginning that in April." He didn't want to sound like he was showing off. "This year I am speaking on the home lives of the Viking people. Farming, fishing, religion- Last year I spoke predominantly on religion. But many people think they know about that now."
He wanted to pat himself on the back for managing to speak unwaveringly despite the way Athelstan's fingers were stroking between his own. He was sad to relinquish them, to let his guest sit down on his own. And so, once he had pulled his own chair closer, Ragnar reached out to take up a Athelstan's hand again.
"There is nothing more important to me than you being here right now. I have weeks to work yet, and they will applaud and smile no matter what I say. I need this time with you. I still cannot believe you are here. You are- I am so glad to see you. Is there anything you need? You have come such a long way. If you need anything you will ask?"
