Re: [The piano bar: Misha & Lucifer.]
Lucifer hadn't trusted Above in a very long time. He knew that his siblings weren't all awful, but he still had so little trust to even begin to give to his Father. It had been too long since the last time he'd glimpsed Above, and his memories were tainted by the last moments before his Fall and the receding view as he plummeted away. Much easier was being in the present, listening to the music as it was coaxed from keys.
He managed a huff of quiet laughter at Misha's assessment of the pianist at the keys, and gave a nod. "I've heard worse." It was the first he'd said out loud to Misha, and it was only partially directed at him. It was, indeed, an opening though, and once the first volley was out there, he turned more of his attention from the stage to the boy across from him.
"How long ago was that?" There was a delicacy to the question, something that could almost be called sadness, were it allowed to showcase itself. It was the solemnity of tone given when discussing a friend passed on. One who had earned at least a bit of affection before their passing. And as he'd told Janus, he hadn't known that Numiel had died - and didn't know where she was now. In addition to that, he was finding that, more with Misha than with anyone else, he actually needed to ask the questions instead of just thinking and automatically knowing the response. And so, the question.
