Re: [The piano bar: Misha & Lucifer.]
He could look young when vulnerability took him - younger than Misha actually was. And he could look older - buttoned up and hair slicked back, tailored to the hilt. Often, when he was with Claire (and not injured by a party-gifted kicking), he was a relaxed sort of tailored. Janus had seen him in more appearances than most anyone else. And his gaggle below saw him as something much more fearsome than he ever showed on Earth. But for the night, he was somewhere in between. An effort made, but a little rumpled and a little ragged and a little stubbled. He'd had, pardon the phrase, a hell of a time coming to terms with everything that had hit him at the turn of the calendar year into the new, and he'd decided to let some of it show.
The man was perched on one of the stools at the bar when Misha arrived, nursing a drink that glinted amber in the low light, and there was nothing especially divine about him. It was possibly an unfair thing to do, to complete hide himself at first, allowing him to see Misha before Misha saw him. Hopefully. Because it wasn't hard to tell when he - his son, what the fuck - arrived. Misha was anger and fire and light, and so instantly familiar that Lucifer needed a moment to recover from it. He looked like his mother in a way that ached, but there was also a similarity to the reflection in the mirror that Lucifer couldn't deny.
Once he had a moment to recover his composure, Lucifer eased himself off the stool and carried his drink over to Misha's table. He set the glass down first, still about half-full, and then pulled out one of the other chairs at the table to sit. He angled himself to mostly face Misha, but so that he could also glance at the stage if he wanted. Which he did, at first, watching the performer at the keys, and reaching out to rest his fingers loosely over the rim of his glass. He didn't say anything, but closer up it was easier to feel the presence of broad wings in the air, there but not, and of the first red sliver of dawn over the ocean's horizon.
