Ragnar didn't always work on Saturdays, and really, he thought, he should be at home with Athelstan. But he'd already taken a few days off on self proclaimed paternity leave to make sure his baby had settled in, and it seemed to be the honorable thing to do to turn up and show his face.
And maybe he'd put Athelstan in a new doggy bed in his office for the time being. Ragnar didn't want to leave him at home.
He was strolling casually around his rooms, hands crossed behind his back. It was quiet today, the first weekend of the year, people were at home fulfilling other resolutions. One or two people were here, a family out to entertain their kid, a couple on a date, the solo visitors who liked the peace and quiet and knowledge all around them.
And Ragnar liked to be near his things. He could feel the past all around him, he could feel the things, the links all the way back to when he was-
Ragnar paused, looking at the display of the viking people in their town, farming and weaving- He cocked his head. Then started forward again.
"I do not know if you are aware that you are in the wrong kind of clothing to blend in with this scene," he said softly to the lady that was rather discretely hidden beside one of the houses. "Though you have very Celtic hair. Have you been told?"
Propping himself up with one arm on the roof of the house, he smiled at Pippin. "Can I help you with anything?"
